K tends to have stronger reactions to others suffering in his stead, it's true, but he remembers the deep, claustrophobic almost horror of it, the skincrawling need to be gone with its hooks just under V's skin an arm length in front of him.
He sees none of it now. What he does see is some kind of hurt, core deep and possibly essential. What he sees is someone knocked so far off himself he's almost a different person.
